DEC Asks Warren County Visitors To Report Clues That Could Help Find Missing Hiker

NYSDEC

New York State environmental officials are asking residents and visitors of Horicon in Warren County to keep an eye out for any clues that can be used to find a missing hunter who disappeared last November.

82-year-old Thomas Messick, of Troy, was last seen on November 15th off Lily Pond Road. He was reported missing after he failed to meet up with his hunting party.

DEC scaled back the search for Messick in January. Now, ahead of the Memorial Day weekend, officials are asking seasonal residents and anyone returning to the area to report any clues or information that could help find him.

Messick was last seen wearing a camouflage jacket, coveralls, and a red and black hat.

Those with information are asked to call the DEC Ray Brook Dispatch at 518-897-1300.
