State Senator George Amedore (R-Rotterdam) announced on Friday that he will seek re-election in November.
“My priority has been to delivery our fair share of resources to the 46th district in order to properly fund our schools, ease the burden on our taxpayers, invest in infrastructure, and create economic opportunity within every community,” he said. “As chairman of the Senate Committee on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse, I’m proud of the work we have done to help those struggling with addiction.”
Amedore represents portions of Ulster, Schenectady and Albany counties in his first term in the Senate. For five years earlier, he served as an assemblyman.
