New York's Caroga Lake Campground To Get Wastewater System

Wikipedia

Almost a third of the campsites at the state-run Caroga Lake Campground will be off-limits when the facility opens for the season later this month.

The Department of Environmental Conservation says 51 of the 161 sites will be closed while a new wastewater system is constructed. The agency discovered the system needed replacement while workers were preparing the campground for the May 20 opening.

The agency says campers with reservations for sites 87 through 129 will be given a refund.

No timetable was given for the construction project.

Caroga Lake is in Fulton County at the southern edge of the Adirondack Park.
