On Wednesday Governor Andrew Cuomo announced New York will participate in the U.S. Department of Energy’s Solar Ready Vets program. The program at Fort Drum will begin on January 11th.
Cuomo says offering servicemen and women training to work in the solar industry “not only helps veterans succeed post service, but helps all us create a more sustainable future.”
The five-week classes will be taught by instructors from SUNY Canton and will also facilitate job placement with New York solar PV companies.
