A fifth man faces hazing charges following the death last year of a 19-year-old University at Albany student who drank an excessive amount of alcohol.
Authorities in Albany say 20-year-old Keith Rosengarten of Bayside, New York turned himself in Friday morning. He was charged with one count of first-degree hazing, a misdemeanor, and was released on his own recognizance.
Five arrests have been made this week in connection with what police are calling an initiation for an unsanctioned fraternity in which pledges were required to drink large amounts of alcohol. Albany student Trevor Duffy was found unconscious in a house last November and later died at a hospital.
A lawyer for Rosengarten did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
