State officials are urging extra caution for people setting bonfires around an Adirondack lake this weekend.
The "Ring of Fire" set for Sunday night around Great Sacandaga Lake is an annual end-of-summer tradition.
State Department of Environmental Conservation officials are reminding celebrants that dry conditions this summer merit extra precautions. They ask that fire starters keep a hose or a bucket of water nearby and that they make sure fires are fully extinguished.
