Two Members Of New York Drug Ring Plead Guilty

Two members of a New York City-based heroin distribution ring have pleaded guilty.

Authorities say the prosecution has tamped down a network that stretched into Nassau, Orange and Sullivan counties in New York, and Allegheny County in Pennsylvania.

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman says kingpin Brian Bacon of the Bronx will be sentenced to 12 years in prison for operating as a major trafficker.

Jerome Turnbough of Newburgh, New York, will get six years in prison for sale of a controlled substance.

Schneiderman says drug ring members often used trains and buses while carrying heroin from place to place.There are 11 other defendants in the case.
