U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand will be touring the region today.
A member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Gillibrand is scheduled to join Rep. Paul Tonko at the SSG Horace D. Bradt Army Reserve Center in Schenectady at 2 pm.
Gillibrand worked to secure $20 million for the new training center.
At 3:30 pm the Senator is scheduled to visit the VA Hudson Valley Health Care System Castle Point Campus in Wappingers Falls.
There she will mark National Salute to Veteran Patients Week and participate in a Valentines for Veterans event with area Girl Scouts.
