The Warren County legislature has given its “full support” to Lake George Park Commission Executive Director David Wick, who has been placed on administrative leave after an effort by the New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's administration to remove him.
Cuomo administration spokesman Rich Azzopardi told the Glens Falls Post Star this week that Wick failed to report a 1-gallon gas spill that occurred over the summer.
On Friday, at a meeting of the Warren County Board of Supervisors, legislators praised Wick for his efforts and attention to communities.

“I think sometimes we view his responsibilities as kind of a…where the city doesn’t get value out of it, and my point is we couldn’t have dealt with a human being who was more professional, more knowledgeable, and more attentive to our needs.”
Members of the Lake George Park Commission held an emergency meeting Friday morning where they decided to keep Wick on paid leave. Wick has served as executive director since 2012.
