Area media are reporting that Hard Rock International unveiled plans on Thursday for a casino and hotel in the city of Rensselaer. The company known for its popular Hard Rock Café, has sited the $200 million project on 24 acres along the Hudson River at De Laet’s landing. If approved, the casino, hotel, and allotted space for parking would garner $5.7 million in revenue for the financially stressed city. Hard Rock chairman and CEO Jim Allen said specific details on the casino project would be revealed after the casino application in filed with the state on June 30th.
