New York State Officials Urge Safety After Bounce House Accident

New York state officials are urging parents to take caution after an accident in South Glens Falls. Three children were injured after an inflatable toy house was carried high off the ground by the wind.

The accident Monday that seriously injured two of the three children after they were picked up in a Little Tikes brand inflatable bounce house is receiving national attention, spurred on by aviral photo of the house high in the sky.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said in a release that he urges parents to use caution when installing similar devices and not to use them on windy days. The governor added that he wishes the children a fast recovery.

State Labor Commissioner Peter Rivera said, “It’s vital that parents and guardians take the extra time to read through all included safety booklets and call manufactures if they have questions or suspect there are problems.”
