Union College has won its first NCAA hockey title by scoring three times during a 1:54 span in the first period of a 7-4 victory over Minnesota.
The Gophers led 2-1 until Mike Vecchione, Eli Lichtenwald and Daniel Ciampini scored for the Dutchman.
Colin Stevens made 36 saves for Union, which finishes the season 32-6-4.
