U.S. border officials are warning travelers to be prepared for busy crossings this holiday weekend.

Officials at U.S. Customs and Border Protection are urging travelers over Labor Day weekend to allow extra time for their journey.
Public Affairs Specialist Shelbe Benson notes there are certain holidays that see spikes in traffic, and are offering tips to expedite crossing the  border.

Travelers can check traffic conditions online and select the crossing that is least congested.

Traffic conditions are posted at www.cbp.gov.
