Albany, NY – Well there's no score in Super Bowl 46, in fact the championship game doesn't get underway until Sunday evening, but the Giants and Patriots have both touched down in Indy...

The NFC champion Giants arrived yesterday in Indianapolis, one day after the AFC champion Patriots hit town. Giants safety Antrel Rolle says the Giants wouldn't have boarded the plane if they didn't expect to win. Meanwhile, the Patriots held their first practice in Indy yesterday - tight end Rob Gronkowski did not participate due to a high left ankle sprain he suffered last week against Baltimore. Officially he's listed day-to-day.

To the NBA, San Antonio downed Memphis 83-73, Chicago whipped Washington 98-88, Miami manhandled New Orleans 109-95, Philadelphia dumped Orlando 74-69, the Clippers cruised past Oklahoma City 112-100, Minnesota hammered Houston 120-108, Dallas destroyed Phoenix 122-99, Utah edged Portland 93-89, and Milwaukee routed Detroit 103-82.

Only one game in Top 25 college hoops, Missouri outlasted Texas 67-66.

Only game on the women's side as well, U-Conn blew out Duke 61-45.

In college football news, Rutgers has chosen interim coach Kyle Flood to replace Greg Schiano as head football coach, after Schiano bolted to become head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In baseball news, Tigers star Victor Martinez will miss the entire 2012 season after undergoing microfracture surgery on his left knee. Martinez, who injured the knee during off-season workouts, will also need ACL reconstruction on the same knee in six to eight weeks.

Elsewhere, Baltimore has signed pitcher Armando Galarraga, Milwaukee has added outfielder Corey Patterson, and ESPN reports the Rangers met with free-agent pitcher Roy Oswalt yesterday in Arlington.
