Albany, NY – The State Capitol was the site of one of the largest demonstrations to date against the natural gas drilling process known as hydrofracking. Capitol Correspondent Karen DeWitt reports...

Actor Debra Winger and Gasland filmmaker Josh Fox were among hundreds of anti fracking protesters who demanded that Governor Cuomo end his administration's on- going approval process for hydrofracking.

Winger called the gas drilling process "filthy" and Fox urged the continuation of what he calls the first moratorium on fracking in the world, saying the opposition is growing.

"Every time I come to Albany there's more of you, and the weather is worse," Fox said.

The Cuomo Administration is currently reviewing over 40,000 comments submitted by the public about a draft environmental impact study on the effects of fracking on New York. The governor has said repeatedly that he won't go ahead fracking until all the facts are known.

In Albany, I'm Karen DeWitt.
