New York's Junior Senator Tours Rail Manufacturing Plant and Promotes Manufacturing Agenda

Plattsburgh, NY – New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is introducing a series of bills that she says would aid manufacturing and spark growth in hi-tech jobs. Gillibrand explained her "Made in America" legislation following a tour of the Bombardier plant in Plattsburgh.

The Bombardier plant in Plattsburgh manufactures rail cars and is a division of the global transportation conglomerate based in Quebec. Facility General Manager Alain Aumais.

Senator Gillibrand believes her plan would help many companies in the region that want to grow, but have encountered financial obstacles.

Sneator Gillibrand was with Senator Charles Schumer earlier in the day attending economic development forums in several Adirondack communities.

Senator Gillibrand also toured Specialty Silicone Products in Ballston Spa. New York would be eligible for 60-million dollars in funding under her proposed Made in America grant program.
