Future Scenarios For Adirondack Park to Be Assessed

Long Lake, NY – The Common Ground Alliance's annual meeting tends to focus on economic or environmental policies and their impact on the Adirondack Park and its communities, ecology and residents. This time organizers wanted to do something a little bit different. Participants will be shown 6 possible futures for the Adirondack Park. They will then rank them and discuss whether they should work towards or away from those possible outcomes. Alliance member Bill Farber is Chair of the Hamilton County Board of Supervisors.......

Dave Mason and Jim Herman retired after running a business that did strategic planning assistance. Jim Herman says they are developing six potential scenarios........

Wildlife Conservation Society Adirondack Program Director Zoe Smith has seen some of the Park's future scenarios......

The Alliance's Bill Farber says they hope this process helps people review policies, procedures, regulations and incentives to determine if they will create an amenable outcome......

The Common Ground Alliance meeting will be held on Wednesday the 20th in Long Lake.
