Plattsburgh, NY – The winter snows are melting, and the region has begun to see warmer days and cool nights. That signals the sap in maple trees to start flowing and heralds the start of maple season across the region. This weekend is the first of two maple weekends celebrating the sugaring industry, coming days after a new report that says northern New York has the potential to double output. WAMC North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley has more.
