Utica, NY – Politics are heating up in Central New York, where voters in Utica are preparing to elect a new Mayor on November 6th. There are five candidates including present Mayor Tim Julian. 2 democrats, 2 republicans along with independent candidate and former Mayor Ed Hanna, are participating in the September 18th primary. Whoever emerges victorious in the mayoral race, may have to share financial powers with the Common Council. WAMC's Dave Lucas reports.
