The March 29th, 2021 Williamstown, Massachusetts virtual select board interview with Charles Blanchard.

The candidate chosen by Williamstown, Massachusetts to serve as interim town manager has accepted the position.

Charles Blanchard – who has previously served in Palmer and Paxton – starts Wednesday. It comes as the town searches for a new permanent town manager after a series of scandals led to current town manager Jason Hoch’s resignation in February.

“I have to be in a position to let you know, what's going on and why we're doing certain things and why certain decisions are made," said Blanchard. "So it is trying to, you know, work with the entire community even though, you know, the community may have different views and different opinions of where the town should be going.”

Blanchard served as town manager of Palmer from 2011 to 2019.
