Vermont Announces Mandatory Guidance For Colleges To Reopen

Vermont has developed mandatory guidance and health protocols for colleges and universities to follow as they reopen amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Former Norwich University President Richard Schneider chairs the task force that developed the guidance based on three possibilities: “The first one is to make sure they don’t come in if they’re infected. The second one is once we’re all together how do we stay not infected. And if we do perchance get infected what are we going to do to deal with it quickly so we minimize the risk of having to shut down school again or send students home.”

Schneider said students will likely go home at Thanksgiving and return later in the spring.
