Vermont State Police say a St. Albans police officer has been arrested on charges of repeatedly sexually assaulting a woman in the past and recently kidnapping and assaulting her to keep her from reporting it.
Police say 29-year-old Zachary Pigeon was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of repeatedly sexually assaulting a woman over a period of years in the mid-2000s.
Police say he and his father, 56-year-old Allen Pigeon of St. Albans, are also charged with recently kidnapping, assaulting and threatening the individual to try to prevent her from speaking about the incidents.
