The Vermont Air National Guard will continue its F-35 flight operations even as members deploy across the state to aid in the COVID-19 response.
The Vermont Air Guard said Friday that the 158th Fighter Wing will continue scheduled F-35 training. At the same time, it is working with Vermont Emergency Management and the Department of Health for pandemic response including setting up overflow facilities.
Adjutant General Greg Knight said they have a responsibility to support the state while also maintaining readiness for any federal call-ups. He added social distancing will be maintained in all training including a virtual drill planned this month.
