This summer, Lee, Massachusetts will become the next Berkshire County community to host an adult-use marijuana retailer. Canna Provisions, which cleared its final regulatory hurdle in May, will soon open in the town of around 6,000 just off the Mass Pike. CEO Meg Sanders is the former head of Mindful, a Colorado chain of marijuana dispensaries. She says the company has hired more than 40 full-time employees to work in Lee. She spoke with WAMC about the investments her company is making in Lee and what it’s been like working with the town.

Josh Landes has been WAMC's Berkshire Bureau Chief since February 2018, following stints at WBGO Newark and WFMU East Orange. A passionate advocate for Western Massachusetts, Landes was raised in Pittsfield and attended Hampshire College in Amherst, receiving his bachelor's in Ethnomusicology and Radio Production. His free time is spent with his cat Harry, experimental electronic music, and exploring the woods.
