Admission to Vermont state parks and historic sites is free this weekend.
State Tourism and Marketing Commissioner Wendy Knight says the ‘Vermont Days’ event invites "visitors and residents alike to try something new and discover the cultural and recreational opportunities available at these wonderful destinations."

A number of events are being held Saturday and Sunday at various state parks. The Vermont History Museum in Montpelier and the Vermont History Center in Barre will also be open for free Saturday.

They include an astronomy night at the Hubbardton Battlefield State Historic Site on Saturday night; and an ice cream social at the Senator Justin Morrill State Historic Site in Strafford and live music by the Green Mountain Brass Band at Waterbury Center State Park, both on Sunday afternoon.
