Signs saying "It's OK to be White" appeared and were removed from the University of Vermont and Champlain College campuses over the weekend.
UVM says the signs were removed and the school "condemns the activity in the strongest possible terms" to the extent that the signs were intended to promote white nationalist ideology.

The signs have appeared on campus in the past and college officials say they appeared to have been part of a national effort.

Last winter, white supremacist signs and stickers were posted at UVM and other college campuses. Burlington police said they were traced to a state resident and an out-of-towner and there was no evidence to suggest that UVM students were involved.
