http://www.berkshirecc.edu
Berkshire Community College President Ellen Kennedy.

Ellen Kennedy is the president of Berkshire Community College. With its main campus headquartered west of downtown Pittsfield, the college serves around 1,300 students —  96 percent from Berkshire County. BCC is also the home of the Western Massachusetts branch of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, a country-wide educational entity funded by philanthropist Bernard Osher that offers adults above 50 noncredit college courses. Kennedy spoke with WAMC in advance of the new school year.

Josh Landes has been WAMC's Berkshire Bureau Chief since February 2018, following stints at WBGO Newark and WFMU East Orange. A passionate advocate for Western Massachusetts, Landes was raised in Pittsfield and attended Hampshire College in Amherst, receiving his bachelor's in Ethnomusicology and Radio Production. His free time is spent with his cat Harry, experimental electronic music, and exploring the woods.
