Mass. State Police, MEMA Join Neighborhood Social Network Nextdoor

     The state police and the emergency management agency in Massachusetts have announced a partnership with a private social network to interact with people on a neighborhood level.

     The Massachusetts State Police and Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency have joined Nextdoor, which has members in over 2,400 neighborhoods throughout the state.

     The partnership makes Massachusetts the first state in the country to have both its state police and emergency management agency on Nextdoor.

     WAMC’s Pioneer  Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill  spoke with Chris Besse, the  spokesman for the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency.
