North Adams, Massachusetts planners have approved an art museum devoted to man’s best friend.
The Museum of Dog hopes to open by the end of February.
Inside, a private collection of 180 dog-inspired artworks will be featured – paintings, sculptures, video installations and local art.
The 8,000 square foot gallery site will be at the former Quinn’s Paint & Wallpaper Co. Museum founder David York bought it in September for $220,000.
An active animal rescuer, York is the owner of Atlanta’s first doggy day-care, and a few similar facilities in Texas.
Some local pet lovers are also calling for a Cat Café, too.
