A North Adams, Massachusetts man was arraigned Monday on a murder charge.
Mark Steele-Knudslien pleaded not guilty in Northern Berkshire District Court in the murder of his wife, Christa Leigh.
The woman’s body was found inside their North Adams home Friday evening. The preliminary results of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Holyoke show she was stabbed and bludgeoned to death.
The 47-year-old man is being held at the Berkshire County House of Corrections without bail.
A pretrial hearing is scheduled for February 7th.
