State Representative Tricia Farley-Bouvier has endorsed fellow Democrat Jay Gonzalez for Massachusetts governor.
Former state Secretary of Administration and Finance Jay Gonzalez announced his bid to challenge first-term Republican Governor Charlie Baker nearly a year ago. In November, Baker announced he’d seek a second term.
State Representative Tricia Farley-Bouvier, a Pittsfield Democrat, is one of the first legislators to take a position on the Democratic race.
“He’s a pragmatic progressive,” Farley-Bouvier says. “That’s how I view: how are we going to get things done.”
Two other Democrats are running: Environmentalist Bob Massie and Newton Mayor Setti Warren.
The primary is in September.
