Police in Burlington, Vermont, say a man has been arrested after he pulled a large knife during a fight in City Hall Park.
Police say they received multiple 911 calls Thursday morning. 27-year-old John Tubbs, who appeared to be intoxicated, was trying to engage a number of people in a physical confrontation. They said a man who tried to break up a fight ended up getting into one with Tubbs.

Police said the man pulled out a small knife to protect himself; Tubbs pulled out a large knife and raised it above his head. He dropped it as police arrived.

Police say Tubbs is a transient; he was charged with disorderly conduct and aggravated assault. It wasn't immediately known if he had a lawyer.
