An undergraduate political science class at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts is teaming up with the North Adams Chamber of Commerce to host a candidate forum at the Greylock Mill on Thursday night. WAMC’s Berkshire Bureau Chief JD Allen sat down with Professor Samantha Pettey to talk about the class project.
Voters can meet the five North Adams mayoral candidates – Tom Bernard, Rachel Branch, current City Councilor Bob Moulton Jr., Robert Martelle and Peter Oleskiewicz, on September 14th. The preliminary election to narrow the choice to two candidates is September 19th. 16 candidates are running for city council. The forum for city council candidates is October 19th.
