Smith Recalls Ski And Snowboard Helmets Due To Risk Of Head Injury

A manufacturer of ski helmets is voluntarily recalling thousands of the product sold during the last two years.
Smith Quantum is voluntarily recalling all ski and snowboard helmets it sold in 2016 and 2017.

The company and the Consumer Product Safety Commission report the buckle on the helmet can disengage, posing a risk of head injury.

There is a printed label on the inside of the helmet noting manufacturing dates.

About 7,000 helmets, sold in various sizes and colors, were sold in the U.S and about 1,000 in Canada.
