Telemedicine Startup To Bring Healthcare Services To Rural Private Schools

Dr. Randy Anselmo, director of Health Services at Bennington College in Vermont, has started his own business to address a problem for small, rural private colleges, camps and boarding schools: access to reliable healthcare services. His answer: telemedicine. WAMC’s Berkshire Bureau Chief JD Allen sat down with Anselmo to talk about his startup, BeWell.

Green Mountain College in Vermont says it has started a pilot program with BeWell this semester. Anselmo made his pitch in August on the Demo Day stage at LEVER – a business incubator in North Adams, Massachusetts.
