Newton, Massachusetts Mayor Setti Warren launched his campaign for governor in May. WAMC’s Berkshires Bureau Chief JD Allen spoke with the Democrat after he visited the westernmost part of the state earlier this month.
Two other Democrats have lined up to challenge first-term Republican Governor Charlie Baker in 2018: Environmentalist Bob Massie and former state Secretary of Administration and Finance Jay Gonzalez. Baker has not formally announced his reelection campaign.
