Neighbors Appeal To Halt Lenox Permit For Travaasa's $50M Resort

Travaasa Experiential Resort

Neighbors of the historic Elm Court property in Lenox will appeal the Massachusetts Land Court’s decision to uphold a special permit granted to build a $50 million resort.

Lenox lawmakers granted a special permit to build a 112-room, $50 million resort to be operated by Travaasa Experiential Resorts.

In July, the state Land Court ruled in favor of the Lenox Zoning Board of Appeals after neighbors sued.

They’re concerned about noise levels and traffic near the resort, and will file an appeal.

The developer plans to invest more than $3.3 million into the surrounding area to address those concerns.
