The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center in Great Barrington has received a $65,000 state cultural grant for upgrades.
The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center was restored 12 years ago thanks in part due to funding from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and MassDevelopment.
This $65,000 grant – the fourth installment of the joint Massachusetts Cultural Facilities Fund over the last decade – will go toward carpet replacement, LED lighting, and in-house sound improvements.
The theater still hopes to secure funding to build a bar.
