Connecticut’s federal and state leaders want to introduce legislation to strengthen and expand Social Security.

They say the system needs to stay strong for the next generation.

There are 600,000 retired workers, disabled people and families who depend on Social Security to pay their bills. There are more than 10 million recipients across the country.
