The former secretary of the Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development has been appointed president of Vermont Technical College.
Patricia Moulton is the first female president of the 150-year-old college. She has served as interim president since September.
The Vermont State Colleges board of trustees appointed her this weekend after a months-long national search.
She replaces previous president Dan Smith, who left in August to become president of the Vermont Community Foundation.
