A worker died early Thursday morning at a construction site on the University of Vermont campus.
The University of Vermont is building a new six story residence and dining hall on the central campus for first-year students. According to UVM, at about 6:40 Thursday morning an Engelberth Construction worker fell from a significant height, resulting in his death.
Construction at the site has been halted until authorities complete their investigations.
WCAX television reports that the preliminary investigation indicates the 50-year old man, whose name has not yet been released, was wearing a safety harness.
