Vermont State Police say law enforcement officials have shot and killed a man while executing a federal search warrant.
Federal, state and local officers were involved in the execution of the search warrant Tuesday night at a home in Burlington. The Drug Enforcement Administration was the lead agency on the case.
State police say a preliminary investigation indicates officers executing the search warrant confronted a man inside the home. They say officers fired multiple shots, killing the man. His name was not immediately released. None of the officers were injured.
It's unclear what led to the shooting. State police continue to investigate.
