Vermont’s top leaders were in Burlington celebrate the completion of a development project on the northern edge of the city’s waterfront.
The Waterfront Access North is the first new major infrastructure project since Waterfront Park was created in the 1990’s. Key improvements include a state of the art skate park, upgrading and extending the bike path, environmental remediation, and underground utility placement.

Burlington Mayor Miro Weinberger says they have created a new spine for the northern waterfront area.    “We are celebrating more than simply the opening of a municipal project.  We’re marking the re-birth of the northern waterfront.”

Burlington’s mayor was joined by Senator Patrick Leahy, Governor Peter Shumlin and former Governor Howard Dean.
