The Vermont Republican Party is hosting presidential candidate Senator Rand Paul this evening.
The fundraiser offers tickets between $65 per person to $2,000 for a couple.
Earlier this month Middlebury College Political Science Chair Bert Johnson expressed doubts that other presidential candidates would campaign in Vermont. “I doubt we’ll see a flood of Republican candidates to Vermont although candidates typically run advertisements in Vermont media markets because those spill over into New Hampshire of course and that’s a very important primary state.”
In a recent Quinnipiac University poll Senator Rand Paul received 2 percent support from Republicans.
