Vermont Company That Trucks Natural Gas Sold

NG Advantage

A Vermont company that delivers compressed natural gas to industrial sites that don't have access to a natural gas pipeline has been sold to a California company for $37.6 million.

Mary Evslin of NG Advantage of Milton says that 51 percent of the company she founded with her husband, Tom, has been sold to Clean Energy of Newport Beach, California.

Mary Evslin says her company has been working with Clean Energy for about a year and it was already Clean Energy's largest customer.

Clean Energy Fuels serves customers whose vehicle fleets are powered by natural gas.

With the purchase, NG Advantage's Milton gas compression station will become Clean Energy's highest-volume station in its network of almost 500 stations.

Evslin says the deal will allow the company to hire more staff.
