The Massachusetts Gaming Commission has launched an evaluation process to review the final applications for resort casino licenses submitted by Tuesday’s deadline
The commission received detailed site specific casino license applications-- each containing thousands of pages-- from MGM Resorts, Mohegan Sun and Wynn Resorts. Commission chairman Stephen Crosby said the applications will be available on the commission’s website during the week of January 6
"And review the application yourself. We will be inviting public comment at at least two public meetings and through our website."
The resort casino applicants will make public presentations to the commission on January 22. MGM, which proposes a casino in Springfield, is the lone applicant in the western region. Mohegan Sun and Wynn are competing for the east region license.
