U.S. Seeks Info on Vandalism in VT National Forest

The U.S. Forest Service is asking the public for help in finding who's responsible for what's being called significant vandalism in Vermont's Green Mountain National Forest.

Officials say last week a large amount of green paint was sprayed on trail markers, trail signs, rescue equipment, boulders and the Mount Horrid cliff face in Goshen and Rochester.

Acting Green Mountain National Forest Supervisor Mary Doke says the vandalism makes visits to the area less pleasant and it wastes taxpayer money that could be better spent.

Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call National Forest law enforcement agents at (802) 747-6797.
