Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin is calling the just completed meeting between New England Governors and eastern Canadian premiers a success.
The leaders of the eleven jurisdictions attended meetings and presentations Sunday and Monday. Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin says it will spur greater cooperation on numerous initiatives including transportation and economic development.
Vermont’s governor also noted that climate change, emergency planning and oil pipeline safety were discussed during the meeting in Quebec.
