Tim Murray officially leaves office today after 6 ½ years as Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor
Murray had a large portfolio in the administration of Governor Deval Patrick. He was an advocate for veterans’ services and preserving the state’s military bases. He also worked on issues involving homelessness and domestic violence. Murray was the administration’s chief liaison with local government officials
Massachusetts will go without a lieutenant governor until a new one is elected in 2014 and takes office in January 2015.
