Holyoke Event To Honor Boston Marathon Bomb Victims

The organizers of the St.Patrick’s Parade and Road Race in Holyoke Massachusetts are going to hold a walk this Sunday to show solidarity with the city of  Boston in the aftermath of the bombings.  The event, which is not a fundraiser, is being put on to honor the victims of the bombings, first responders, marathon runners, and anyone else who was affected.   WAMC’s Paul Tuthill spoke with one of the event organizers, Jim Leahy.

The record-setting tenure of Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno. The 2011 tornado and its recovery that remade the largest city in Western Massachusetts. The fallout from the deadly COVID outbreak at the Holyoke Soldiers Home. Those are just a few of the thousands and thousands of stories WAMC’s Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill has covered for WAMC in his nearly 17 years with the station.
